The agency is primarily Francophone: its director is a former French government scholarship recipient who studied in Paris (at Université Paris-Saclay and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne). During my studies in France, I was often asked about my country, its traditions, and its history. This is no coincidence: my country boasts a glorious history and magnificent cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. It was near Bukhara that Abū ʿAlī ibn Sīnā—known in the West as Avicenna, one of the founders of modern medicine—was born. This is also where the Silk Road caravans passed through. I took great pleasure in sharing these stories with my friends. Upon returning to Uzbekistan, I decided to start my own travel agency so I could share this wealth with even more international travelers.
Why "Arts and Deserts"? The answer is simple. Traveling through Central Asia—and Uzbekistan in particular—reveals vast deserts, oases, and a multitude of artistic expressions within legendary cities. A journey to Uzbekistan is thus deeply defined by these omnipresent elements: art and the desert.
Today, our agency offers services at every level. Our range of offerings has expanded significantly thanks to the experience gained in recent years. We provide tailor-made, fully customizable tours, allowing each traveler to co-create their own itinerary.
Our philosophy and priority are to connect with local people—particularly in rural areas—to discover their ways of life, traditions, and daily routines. We therefore favor routes off the beaten path, exploring the country’s diverse landscapes and the many faces of its people.
The agency’s team consists of around ten travel specialists, more than half of whom are French-speaking and possess extensive experience in the field.
