Arts et Déserts travel agency thanks you for visiting its website and is pleased to present its activities, services and team. The agency is first and foremost French-speaking, as the director of the agency is a former French government scholarship holder who graduated in Paris (Paris Saclay and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne universities). During my studies in France, I was asked a lot about my country, its traditions and its history. It's no coincidence that my country has a glorious history, with splendid cities like Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. It was in my home town that Abu Ali ibn Sina, known in the West as Avicenna, the founder of medicine, was born.
This is where the caravans of the Silk Road passed through. I used to tell my friends about these things with great pleasure. On my return to Uzbekistan, I decided to set up my own travel agency so that I could tell even more stories to other foreigners. Why Arts et Déserts?
The answer is simple: when you travel through Central Asia, and especially Uzbekistan, you discover the great deserts, oases and all kinds of arts in legendary cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. You could say that a trip to Uzbekistan is all about the arts and the deserts, which are everywhere.
Our agency currently offers services at all levels of the travel industry. Our range of services has expanded considerably thanks to the experience we have acquired in recent years. We offer tailor-made tours to suit individual tastes, and our packages can be personalised, meaning that travellers can plan their own trips.
Our philosophy and our priority in our travel programmes is to get to know the people, the people who live in rural areas, their way of life, their traditions and their daily lives. In this way, we discover the country's beaten track, with its colourful landscapes and faces.
Our team is made up of around ten travel specialists, more than half of whom are French-speaking and have extensive experience in this field.
